Making the Business Case for a Learning Program

Many practitioners do not know how to make a convincing business case presentation to senior leaders like the CFO and CEO. Some mistakenly assume that what is important to learning professionals, like instructional design considerations, learning objectives, and competency models, must also (or should) be important to senior leaders. Others simply don’t know what to share with these senior leaders or how to share it. In any case, the result often is that the budget and staffing for the proposed investment in learning is not approved or is significantly scaled down.

Join Jeff Higgins to learn what CFOs and CEOs really want to hear and how to best present it. Jeff will share his experiences as a CFO when he was responsible for approving (and denying) learning investments, including the most important Do’s and Don’ts’s. In this session you will learn:

  • What CFPs and CEOs want to hear
  • How they would like the information presented
  • How to speak their language

Jeff will also share a template you can use for your own presentations.
